For more than 25 years, Corinna Simon has dedicated herself to the piano education of young pianists. She also works with professional musicians who wish to further their artistic development, as well as with ambitious music enthusiasts.

She studied at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin (now UdK) with Ingeborg Wunder and at the Musikhochschule München with Ludwig Hoffmann, one of the few students of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli – a lineage that continues to shape her understanding of sound, precision, and expressive depth.

Many of her former students are prizewinners of national and international piano competitions and now hold influential positions in the musical world, among them distinguished artists such as Martin Helmchen, Adam Tomaszewski, Sophie Mautner, Lorenz Piano Duo and Julia Glass.

An essential part of her pedagogical work is the long-term cultivation of young talents from the beginning up to a professional level – a developmental spectrum rarely found in traditional piano pedagogy.

Alongside her international concert activities, Corinna Simon serves as a juror at national and international competitions and gives masterclasses at renowned music universities. Her teaching takes place in her piano studio in Berlin-Charlottenburg or online.

She is currently establishing a private academy for international masterclasses and individualized mentorship for young pianists near Neuhardenberg, about 80 km from Berlin – the KULTURWERKSTATT BÄRWINKEL. Its focus lies on a profound engagement with sound, expression, and interpretative presence, complemented by selected acting-based formats that deepen access to the emotional dimension of performance.
